Erin was born with hers.
Growing up, she was always the child with dirt under her fingernails and wildflowers in her hands — happiest when she was outside, close to the earth, watching things grow. Nature wasn’t something she visited. It was where she lived.
That little girl never really grew up, not in the ways that matter. She just found a bigger garden.
When we found our farm in Marysville, Ontario — 85 acres of fields, forest, and possibility — something shifted. The land had been waiting. And so had Erin.
What started as a love of growing flowers became something deeper. Walking the fields, she began to notice what was missing. The native wildflowers that once fed monarchs and bumblebees and countless pollinators had quietly disappeared from so much of the Canadian landscape. And she decided, one seed at a time, to bring them back.
Wild & Whimsy Farm is that mission made real. We grow native plants, cottage flowers, and carefully chosen seeds — not just for the beauty of a garden, but for the health of the land itself. Every packet of seeds we send across Canada carries the hope of a wilder, more abundant world.
We believe small acts of planting matter. We believe gardens can be both enchanting and ecological. And we believe the wildflowers belong here — in your garden, in our fields, and in the imagination of every child who has ever held a flower and felt something stir.
